How do posting and event limits work?
Postings and events can be submitted separately, and have different monthly limits.
Content can be submitted on the Compose page.
Select the “Announcement” and/or “Event” category to control where your message will appear: You can choose to submit content to the Forum only, Calendar only, or to both the Forum and Calendar. Only content with the “Event” category will appear on the Calendar.
There are separate limits for Forum postings and Calendar events:
- Forum-Only submissions (postings) count towards a profile's monthly posting limit – not the event limit.
- Calendar-Only submissions (events) count towards a profile's monthly event limit – not the posting limit.
- Forum + Calendar submissions count towards both a profile's monthly posting and event limits.
- Each event in a recurring series on the Calendar counts towards a profile’s monthly event limit.
- Specific limits depend on profile type.
Adding Multiple Events to the Calendar
If you wish to place multiple events on the Calendar, FPF recommends submitting each one separately, using the “Calendar Only” option. Then, you can post a single “digest” of all of the events in the Announcement category (using the “Forum Only” option).
This will help to “conserve” your postings, and lends itself to a better Forum reading experience.
