# How do shared Business and Nonprofit profiles work?

## Share an organization’s profile with up to five FPF members.

Postings about an organization in its home Forum must be submitted from a single Business or Nonprofit profile. Up to five (5) users can share access to the profile.

#### **Types of user access**

Profile users can be assigned different levels of access:

- **Owners** can post from the organization’s profile, and [update its profile details](https://help.frontporchforum.com/how-do-i-update-my-listing-in-the-business-directory?hsLang=en).
- **Members** can post from the organization’s profile (they cannot update the profile).

#### **How to share a profile**

There are two ways to share a profile:

**1. Invite another member** – As an owner of a Business or Nonprofit profile, you can grant access to other users:

- Log in to your account.
- Click (or tap) the triple bar symbol (☰) at the top right and select "My Account."
- Scroll to find your Business or Nonprofit's info under its “Profile Details.”
- Under "Invite a new member," enter the email address of the person you wish to invite.
- Use the dropdown menu to set their access level (Owner or Member).
- Click the orange “Invite” button.

An email invitation will be sent to the address you entered. After 14 days, the invite will expire.

**2. Request profile access** – You can also request access to an existing Business or Nonprofit profile:

- Log in to your account.
- Click (or tap) the triple bar symbol (☰) at the top right and select “My Account.”
- Scroll down and click (or tap) the “Add Business Profile” or “Add Nonprofit Profile” button.
- Enter the name of the organization you’d like to access.
- After a moment, a box will appear stating "Your profile may already be on FPF." 
    - Select the radio button next to the appropriate organization.
- Click the orange “Join Profile” button.

The existing owner(s) of the profile will receive an email notification, and may approve or deny your request (if they do, you will be notified). After 14 days without owner action, the request will expire.

#### **Managing profile users**

Profile owners can add, remove, and edit member access: Members are listed under each Business / Nonprofit profile’s details on the “My Account” page.
