How can I use FPF as a candidate for elected office?

FPF offers a variety of free and paid options for candidates to connect with voters.

Candidates posting content related to campaigning must do so from a Candidate profile.

  • To request a Free Candidate profile, create a new account using your campaign email address and select the "Candidate" option under "Join the Conversation." (If you have an existing FPF account you may need to log out of that account first.)

- OR -

  • Click on the green "Request Candidate Profile" button at the bottom of your current Account page. Please do not use an official government email address for your Candidate profile.

Through a Free Candidate profile, you can post up to five times per month to your home Forum, with a maximum of 2,000 characters per posting. With each posting, you’ll be identified as a candidate, along with the office for which you are running.

Members with access to multiple Forums may not post campaign messages on behalf of their own, or anyone else's campaign, across multiple Forums. However, campaigning to multiple Forums is possible with a paid Candidate Custom Access subscription. Find more details here.

Endorsements and other campaign-related content from non-candidates must be submitted from a Neighbor profile (not a Government profile).

These guidelines are intended to promote fair access to FPF around elections, for both incumbents and challengers. More at our Terms of Use (no. 3).
